Dublin, 6th March, 2019: IDA Ireland welcomes the announcement made today by Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation, Heather Humphreys TD and Charlie Flanagan TD, Minister for Justice and Equality that spouses and partners of Critical Skills Employment Permit holders will be able to access the Irish labour market without the need to obtain an employment permit.
Commenting on the announcement, IDA Ireland CEO Martin Shanahan said, “Global mobility and the free flow of talent is an important trend especially in the context of Brexit, investors need to be able to source highly skilled international talent across all sectors and we look set to see increased competitiveness and continued demand for talent across all markets.
